Stefán Halldórsson graduated in sociology from the University of Iceland in 1975 and received an MBA from Tuck Business School in 1988. He has worked as a journalist, teacher, in the aviation industry and in financial markets and more recently in management consulting. In recent years he has written and published books and taught in the field of genealogy. He has been a part-time consultant at the Icelandic Pension Funds Association since 2010.
