Jón Guðjónsson is a PhD student in economics at Copenhagen Business School. His research areas are macroprudential instruments, financial stability and theoretical macroeconomics. In his PhD studies Jon analyses the investment behavior of pension funds in Iceland. He has also worked in the implementation of macroeconomic prudential policy since 2017, first at the Financial Supervisory Authority and later at the Financial Stability Division of the Central Bank of Iceland. Jón graduated with an MPhil degree in economic research from Cambridge University in 2016 and has also completed B.S degrees in economics, business/finance and computer science from the University of Iceland.
