Katr\u00edn received her PhD in labor economics from Cornell University in the U.S.A.<\/p>\n<p>Katrin\u2019s research is in the field of labor economics and HRM. She has studied wage development in the Icelandic labor market through the Great recession and organizational decisions involving layoffs and wage cuts. She has studied gender effects in the labor market, both in terms of wage developments as well as occupational change.
